This was my first ever rock climbing experience. I had heard some people were heading out to Mt. Hood for rock climbing from Andrew Post and Brandon on several occasional during the previous days, but had determined that I would be staying at the Mt. Adams Center (MAC) to rest up my knee. At the last minute (last 15 minutes) I changed my mind and wound up going along "to hang out at camp." Fortunately I made the decision to "check out the climbing area" at least once while we were there, making the one mile hike up the snowy road. Once there I thought, "I might as well try climbing," and see how it treats my knee. It was great fun, and my knee held up 100% the whole time.
